What To Expect
  • 07:30-08:00 AM: Your adventure starts with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Phuket, followed by a transfer to Chalong Pier. After a brief welcome and safety orientation from the crew, you’ll board the fishing vessel and set off towards the Racha Islands, a renowned fishing hotspot.
  • As you cruise toward the fishing grounds, the crew will deploy the trolling lines. This is your first opportunity to hook a big one, as you can target fast-swimming pelagic species like king mackerel, wahoo, and tuna. Enjoy the cool ocean breeze and the stunning views of Phuket’s coastline as you head out to sea.
  • Upon arrival near the Racha Islands, your captain will find the best spots for action, often near underwater reefs and pinnacles that attract a wide variety of fish. Here, you will switch techniques to bottom fishing or jigging. The crew will provide all the necessary bait and tackle and offer expert guidance to help you land your catch.
  • Expect to target a variety of species, including snapper, grouper, and trevally. Midday, a delicious onboard lunch will be served, giving you a chance to refuel and relax. Some tours offer a special treat: the opportunity to have your fresh catch prepared and cooked by the crew on the boat.
  • After lunch, you'll continue fishing for a few more hours, trying different spots to maximize your chances of a prize catch. If you’re lucky, you might even reel in a trophy-sized dorado or even a billfish like a sailfish or marlin.
  • As the sun begins to set, the boat will turn back towards Chalong Pier. You can enjoy the relaxing cruise back to the mainland, sharing stories of your biggest catches with your fellow fishermen. Once you arrive at the pier, a comfortable transfer will be waiting to take you back to your hotel.
